Warehouse projects can quickly become difficult to manage when multiple suppliers, changing requirements, and tight delivery schedules are involved. Coordinating pallet racking, warehouse signage, safety systems, security measures, project planning, and more across different providers often creates delays, communication issues, and unnecessary complexity throughout delivery.

At QTS, we help trade customers simplify warehouse projects through coordinated support, technical expertise, UK manufacturing capability, and connected warehouse solutions. By bringing multiple divisions and services together, we help projects run more smoothly while improving communication, consistency, and overall project delivery.

Coordinated Support Across Multiple Solutions

Warehouse projects rarely stay static. Requirements evolve, timelines tighten, and additional operational needs often appear throughout the process.

Rather than managing separate suppliers across different stages, QTS supports projects through a connected range of warehouse solutions and technical services, including:

This joined-up approach helps improve communication, reduce delays, and keep projects moving more efficiently while giving trade customers greater visibility and support throughout delivery.

Experience That Supports Smoother Delivery

Strong project coordination plays a major role in helping warehouse projects run smoothly.

As QTS continues to scale and support larger solutions-led projects, Tom Flather has joined the business as Project Manager to strengthen project delivery responsibilities across the divisions. With over eight years of experience in a similar role within the industry, Tom’s addition further strengthens the support available to trade customers managing complex warehouse environments.

Reflecting on joining the team, Tom said:

“I’m excited to join QTS at such a busy and exciting time for the business. The experience, capabilities, and project support across the divisions are second to none, and I’m looking forward to contributing as the company continues to scale.”

Alongside this, James Wilford continues to support larger mesh deck, divider, and partition projects through specification, sourcing, and delivery coordination across multiple divisions. His 18 years at QTS have provided extensive experience in complex project delivery and coordinated warehouse solutions.

As James explains:

“Large warehouse projects rely on strong coordination across multiple areas. Our role is to help simplify that process for customers and keep projects progressing efficiently from start to finish.”

Combined with technical expertise, operational understanding, and UK manufacturing capability, QTS helps trade customers simplify complex warehouse projects while maintaining quality, consistency, and reliability.

Real Projects Require More Than Product Supply

Every warehouse project comes with different operational challenges, timelines, and delivery requirements. As projects become larger and more complex, strong communication, coordination, and visibility across delivery become increasingly important.

The projects below highlight how QTS supports warehouse projects through coordinated planning, technical expertise, and connected project delivery across multiple areas of the business.

Warehouse Labelling & Identification Project

One recent QTS project involved delivering a complete warehouse labelling and identification solution for a newly racked facility operating against a fixed go-live deadline. The project required low-level barcode scanning capability, upper beam verification, and a fully structured warehouse location format aligned to a new warehouse management system, all while working within a live operational warehouse.

By coordinating design, manufacturing, project planning, and installation management together, QTS kept the project aligned to the customer’s fixed go-live programme while managing installation within a live operational environment. The full solution was completed in approximately three weeks from concept to completion.

Large-Scale Fulfilment Storage Project

On another large-scale fulfilment project, QTS coordinated the supply and delivery of more than 131,000 wire mesh decks and over 331,000 custom dividers across 94 shipping containers for a major e-commerce operation. The project involved phased deliveries, detailed logistics tracking, and careful coordination to support demanding delivery schedules.

Projects like these highlight how important communication, planning, and coordination become throughout project delivery, particularly across larger and more complex warehouse environments.
